Meridian Tower
Overview
Meridian Tower is a 45-story commercial skyscraper that redefines Chicago’s urban skyline. Conceived as a response to the city’s vibrant energy, it features a high-performance glass façade that reflects urban hues by day and transforms into a shimmering beacon at night. The design promotes collaboration through open-plan offices, sky lobbies, and communal areas, while integrating energy-efficient technologies to reduce its environmental impact.
Design Concept & Narrative
Adaptive reuse is more than a trend—it’s a sustainable strategy that preserves cultural heritage while meeting modern needs. By repurposing historical buildings, architects are reducing waste and environmental impact, all while retaining the rich character of urban spaces. Case studies from cities worldwide show how abandoned factories, warehouses, and even churches have been transformed into vibrant community centers, creative offices, and trendy residential lofts.
